Playing tourist

We have some ladies in town right now from one of our supporting churches in Texas.  They are here checking out all the different ministries that the church has been involved in over the past years.  It has been so much fun having them… the English conversation, the fun stuff they brought from the States (including Christmas presents from my mom and dad!), and the chance to play tourist a bit in our new home!

This past weekend we drove up the Damascas Road to Baalbek.  Caleb could probably give you more details, but I think it is the most complete set of Roman ruins in the world.  We’d visited when we were in Lebanon last March, but it was fun to see again… and to practice our Arabic on our tour guide! :)
