On the third day of Christmas…Lebanese Christmas Eve

The big Christmas celebration in Lebanon is on Christmas Eve.  We were invited to celebrate we our pastor’s family this year.  They have two kids about our age who we have become really good friends with, and we always enjoy spending time with them.  We all went to a Christmas Eve service together and then had a huge Lebanese feast.  Chicken, potatoes, rice, hummus, tabouli salad, spinach and cheese pastries, and even sheep’s tongue!

We exchanged gifts and had a great time talking and laughing and eating together.  We are so blessed to know this family, and by their incredible hospitality.  We’ve felt nothing but welcomed and loved by them and were so thankful to spend Christmas Eve with our surrogate family here! :)
