Lost in Translation

Although Arabic is the spoken language, English and French are the educational languages here in Lebanon.  Which means most educated people speak at least one of the two very very well.  Because of this, I’m often surprised at a lot of the English we see on ads, signs, etc.  You would think that it would be pretty easy to find someone to proofread things…. you would think.  But I’m thankful for the chuckle every now and then! :)

  1. Here in Japan there is a lot of English written on signs, bags and t-shirts. We always get a good laugh too at how funny things are written…I wonder too who the proof-readers are?
